Sunflower Poppies Fish Complete

The next quilt to make was my underwater fish scene.  Once again I had this fabric that will do some of the work by itself.

I pinned on the different plants I wanted on the base of my little quilt changing things as I progress along and cut out other plants.

When I am happy with the arrangement I fuse on all the plants except for the tops of the longer weeds.

I have used fabric paint for the body of the angel fish.  You really have to have this design on this fish for it to be convincing.   Once it was dry and ironed I added all the other parts.

Placing the fish behind the one plant leaf I fuse him in place.    He still needs to be quilted but I am happy with the results.

Next is the poppy quilt.  I begin construction of my first poppy, then do the other three and decide on their placement.

Once the flower is placed I put in the stems.

Then the leaves are constructed and placed, as well as a few buds.

Not bad for a full day of work.  It helped that the backgrounds were all cut, sandwiched and quilted when I began and I had a clear picture of what I wanted to do on each one.

Now on to quilting tomorrow.

Wow, you got a lot done today, I really need to do more machine quilting. I am stitching on a prim angel piece that I can hang in my bedroom.

I have said it before: You have the best fabric stash ever! And, you can use it well also. Looking great!
