Fresh Tomato Sauce

I have this great recipe from Martha Stewart for Fresh Tomato Sauce which I love.  Since our tomatos are producing like crazy it was the perfect time to make it.

You make the sauce 8 hours ahead and leave it out at room temperature to "enhance".
You also make an olive oil and crushed red pepper oil ahead to add to the dish if you want it spicier.

Cook your pasta and pour your sauce on top.  I love this because basically you can everything in the morning and then come home from work ...boil your pasta and make a salad and you are ready to go.
It is delicious!
Be sure before you begin you first do a still life of your vegetables for future inspiration.

O! Man! Does that ever look good...refreshingly so. Nothing like garden-fresh tomatoes. Another thing that sounds good is panzanella salad or bruschetta.

And of course the still life...not sure Food Network doesn't include this fabulous piece of advice. I love your yummy looking food and HUMOR!!!

I am going to make this. Your post was very timely. I just bought a basket (1/2 bushel) of tomatoes at a local farm store.

We are getting tons of tomatoes too, guess it is time for more sauce. I love the taste of fresh sauce, you can't beat it.
