Quilted Sunflower no.1

I have finished quilting the sunflower and am trying to figure out a way to do the seed center.
I usually have done small circles all over it but thought to try loosening my tension to bring up the bobbin thread to the top for some texture.  However, so far I can not get the right look.
Then I thought of french knots and I may do that but have not decided.
Any ideas?

It looks lovely! The only other idea that pops into my head for your flower center is couched nubby yarns.

I love how the threads bought out petals. I think the fabric you used really gives the middle, a texture on it's own, so just some simple stitching would be enough.

I love this flower!! I think variegated French knots would be fabulous, maybe with a few flat (no shine) beads in as well. Beautiful quilt.

Absolutely LOVE it! I like the idea of Terri Stegmiller's suggestion of nubby yarns. I'm not a big fan of french knots but that's just me. (I won't be upset if that's the way you go...like I have any part in the decision). Waiting to see how it goes...

It's very beautiful Barbara. What about beads?

Love it! My first thought was beads, too. There are so many good ones out there I'm sure you could find something perfect. But whatever you do will be fab!
