"The Shore" in No. 23
The comment from my art director was this looked too lonely so I
am thinking of what I can add to eliminate that feeling. Any ideas?

"Harvest Moon" is No. 24.
It is on my design wall now and I am trying to decide if it is finished. The quilting will add some texture and furrows to the foreground so I think I am finished with it.
Four more to go and still some bindings and sleeves to put on plus all the labels and more hanging rods to make.
I feel confident I will make it on my deadline now and that takes away much of the stress.
I am still learning as I go along. This week after working on "The Shore" I started "Harvest Moon" and got to a point where I felt it was a failure. I was stuck with trying to decide whether to start another piece or keep going. I have been battling this time issue as I work and did not want to waste time on a piece that was destined to fail. I went to bed that night and during the night I kept waking up and thinking about it. By morning I had decided to try fusing the furrows on the hill, which led to the trees, which led to the sky and clouds, which led to the corn and geese and before long it has become one of my personal favorites. Of course those of you who know me know I have a "thing" for Canadian Geese. :)

Yeah, you're almost "there"! I've been thinking of you as I listen to Liz Wright while working in my studio.
The variety of themes is interesting. As for the lonely boat one, how about putting something in the boat that gives the idea of an adventure or happy outing? A picnic basket and quilt perhaps?
The Swing is my favorite so far, I think. Beautiful colors and movement.
How about some geese on the shore?
Your work is absolutely beautiful. I especially like the first two shown in this post. Stunning!
I think each piece is beautiful. I like the idea of the lonely look, but if I was going to add something to it, I would think a single hawk over the mountains to keep the feeling of the piece.

What a fabulous collection!
I could do some simple embroidered labels for you. Let me know.
I saw peaceful, not lonely when I looked at the quilt.
You are doing a great job and I especially like the abstract one, Sunset in the Birches.
Barb, it's Sarah! My mom said I should come look at your blog. She's told me about this whole building half a million quilts thing you're working on. It looks unbelievable.
I can't believe how fast you're churning these out!!
So that being said, Christmas is rolling around.... :)
Thank you all for the ideas! I am going to finish quilting Harvest Moon and then take a look at Shore and try these.
Nice to hear from you Sarah! Do NOT mention Christmas right now!!! haha!
The Harvest Moon one is one of my favorites so far. It feels like the whole landscape is lighted up. Another winner!
Hi Barbara, I'm impressed with the amount of work you are putting out,do you sleep? Your work is great, how do you keep coming out with all these? Harvest Moon is wonderful.
If you still need ideas for your Shore piece, maybe something vertical would help.
You've probably finished The Shore by now, but if not, how about a napping fisherman and a leaping fish?
