Changes - Continuation - New Direction

It has been a while since I posted. In those weeks I finished No.17 "The Trellis" which is in
my two colors of slate blue and yellow. The trellis is self created and the flowers and birds are broderie perse. It was a lot of quilting and doing the small meandering stitch almost drove me crazy but I got it done.

The art director I am working with decided we needed to change directions now. She wanted more abstract quilts. In some ways it was a relief as I was beginning to burn out on mother and children themes. So I made "Sprigs" and quilted it today, No. 18.

Then i designed "A River Runs Through It" and have just begun quilting it tonight. It is No.19.

On my design wall is "Fauna". I am still moving elements around and adding embellishments so it is far from complete but has a good start. This one will be No.20!

It is a long journey filled with excitement, stress, creativity, discussion, collaboration and
growth. I am 2/3 there now. One more month to go until my deadline.

I think the director is right, a variety would be nice. Your fabrics still have a nature theme so that should make a nice combination.

The previous ones with the nurturing theme are very good. However, these are more recognizable as your style. You Go Girl!

Oh, stunning! All of them! But most of all I adore Trellis. And the labour you put into this. All hand appliqué... It was worth the bother. But I also love to see you going abstract.

I particularly like that top piece. Your arrangement is very convincing.

Glad you switched gears-I think you will be happier:)

Cool story you got here. I'd like to read something more concerning this theme. Thnx for sharing that info.
