I am back in my studio quilting my poppy quilt. A while back someone commented onthis piece and called the dandelion coming between the fence "the intruder". I liked the comment so much I am renaming this quilt "The Intruder".

I used a variegated thread in the flowers, but in the variegation was one color I had not expected to show up as much as it did. This is the hazzard of using variegated threads. So I am going to finish all the quilting and then relook at that quilting and may end up ripping part of it out. We will see.

Probably I just can't see it but it looks like the thread colors work fine. You did a beautiful job with the quilting by the way. The piece is beautiful.
I can't see anything bad about the colors in the veriegated thread. If you are like me, your expectations weren't met but really it isn't all that bad. With the variations in the flower colors it all works.
It is an intruder with quite some healing power in his pockets...

This looks so beautiful. And I think all the stitches look great. Is it possible that perhaps you've been staring at the piece so much, that you are being hyper critical of that thread? Good idea to stand back before tearing out stitches. I think it looks great. And love the title "The Intruder"!
I am definitely rethinking tearing out the quilting with the variegated thread. It is there to stay! Thank all of you for your help in getting me to see this with a new eye!
