This is good because I was feeling a need to step back from my quilting to get a fresh perspective of it, so I stayed out of my studio for 2 days.
The garden is alive with spring bulbs. The grape hyacinths........

and all the perennials that are growing in the nude boy garden. ( I sat and tried to get a photo of the bright yellow finches at this bird bath getting a drink....as soon as I gave up, they came back.
They are so cute when sitting on the edge of the bowl, but definitely did not want to be photographed!)

Bob rototilled our garden and I planted all the cold tolerant veggies: lettuce, spinach, kohlorabi,
and radishes. The tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash will have to wait patiently in the garage for a few more weeks.

So I had to spruce up our patio table which had been black and now is brown with
new cushions on the seats.
All of this took the entire weekend and I think my arms are toned!
We did take a wee bit of time to go out for ice cream in the convertible though and also grilled out a fabulous dinner and ate outside for the first time. Have to sneak in some fun.

How beautiful to look at all these flowers! Just what I needed to brighten up my day.
Finally I can share some spring flowers with all of you who have been way ahead of me. Enjoy!
You have a lot of color in your gardens too. I agree about the goldfinches not sitting for a picture. Even when they are feeding their heads are bobbing around so much every picture is blurry.
Oh Barbara! What a wonderful yard and garden -- and SUCH an inviting deck.
Hi Barbara, first of all thanks for being so nice and sharing masterpieces like these. I hope one day I'll have a bit of talent like yours. Have a nice day...
