The Intruder

This weekend was productive for me. I spent Sunday cleaning the house, doing laundry and grocery shopping. It was a stormy day anyway so it felt good to get all that done and off my mind. Then Monday Bob and I went out to the Kohler Design Center (we live about 7 minutes from Kohler Wi.) and looked at all the sink options as well as faucets. We chose the one we liked the best and wrote the nos. down and then we were off to Home Depot to make the purchase. We have decided to keep our countertops and just paint the cabinets and put in a new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. We chose a new sink design that is a double sink but the divider in between is only half the height as normally done. It means you can put a frying pan or other longer handled pot in the sink and the handle fits over the divider into the other side. You can also use the sink as one big sink if it is Thanksgiving or something where you have lots of dishes to wash. I like the idea a lot and think it will work great for me.
After shopping we went out for a late lunch/dinner returning home at 2pm.

So now it was time for me to get back to quilting. I had spent time Saturday night quilting Mulberry Bush and again for a little while Sunday night, so I felt like working on my
quilt that is on the design wall. (Above is a sneak peak.) I have titled it "Barred From Entry".
I am pretty happy with it so far. We will see how it progresses.

This is looking wonderful, love that title. (At first I thought maybe it was disqualified from a show for some reason!)

The flowers look great so far. Can't wait to see the rest.

Maybe for a future post you might show if you start with a drawing or how you begin. I am curious:0

Intriguing title for these beauties.

I like the idea of that sink with the low divider.

I have always wanted to do a poppy quilt but I don't do much applique (not much confidence). I really like the little you have showed us.

I remember seeing a sink like that when we bought a new one about a year ago. I didn't buy it, but I liked the idea. Hope you like your new sink as well as I like mine. I'm sorry I paid so much for my countertops, but the sink is the greatest!
Love the colors of the flowers w the black and white.
