HEART TO HEART

"HEART TO HEART"
31" X 17"
An interpretation from a photograph taken by Natalie Rowe of two horses, Sarah and Limerick
Raw edged fused applique, machine quilted
Framed over stretcher bars
by
Barbara Strobel Lardon

This art quilt was a pleasure for me to work on.  The theme being, horses, sunflowers and trees, who could ask for more.   When I saw this photograph I was immediately moved by the tenderness between these two horses and I just had to make this into an art piece.

Spectacular!! You just get better and better (and you were great to start with!) Good thing it's sold!!

What really makes this one, besides the beautiful work that you did is. You took the parts of the horses that showed that emotion and bought them to the front. If you had done the horses in full, it would be two horses, your version gives it more power and emotion.

You know how you can tell this is superbly designed? No matter what you crop or how you crop it, every image is perfect on its own. Absolutely stunning job!
I never know how to finish set quilts. If they are on stretcher bars, quilt shows won't exhibit them, if they are on a sleeve, galleries won't hang them or take them seriously.
