I hope all of you enjoyed this journey with me. It was an unexpected journey as today when I finished this piece the owner of this farm reported that she took the light colored lab, Sophie into the vets for a check up because she was limping. Turned out to be cancer and she had to be put to sleep. Such a beautiful dog gone too soon.
I am so sad, yet happy that I added these two dogs to this piece. Now Sophie will live on the farm where she was so happy with her buddy Tristan.

That is a beautiful piece, I can understand why someone grabbed it. I like how you mix the detailed stitching and piecing with some simplicity in the other parts. It is sad about Sophie, so hard when we lose a beloved pet. I decided to wait for now, when the right time and dog comes, I will know.

Wonderful! This is a peaceful setting. Lovely feeling in it.
Barb, it's such a beautiful story....and quilt. I can't help but think there was some devine intervention involved from start to finish.
Poor Sophie:( Your piece turned out well and everything came together in the right way. I like those ducks in particular.
Yeah, we all know who that private collector is! ;) The one running out of wall space!! ;)
I adore this and I agree with Susan that it's some kind of divine intervention or SOMETHING that made you add in the dogs. Until yesterday, I thought our Sophie was going to be around for several more years. Today she's gone, but I will have this exquisitely beautiful artwork to remember her by. Thank you SO much, I love your work so much. Makes me so happy every time I look at something you've created!
This is so beautiful it fills my heart and makes me cry happy and sad at the same time.
It brings me great joy that this quilt has touched so many hearts and comforted at the same time.
What more can you ask of a piece of art.
