Have been working on the dove off and on for the last two days. I am ready to quilt it now. This will take a bit of time as there are a lot of feathers. I am happy with him though....so he will only get better with the quilting.
That really came out nicely, even the puffed up look. I notice that in the winter, they puff up their chests when they sit on the branches. We have 14 of them, counted them one day, lol. They always have a pair but they don't always sit together.
Well that didn't take you long! I love the central background fabric you chose. About the pairs, we had doves living in our courtyard in the desert and the male would sit atop the apex of the entry portico while the female poked around in the dirt. Or maybe your dove just hasn't found a mate yet. Won't be long, he's pretty handsome.

Around our place, doves always come in pairs. Is your dove part of a pair? Even more feathers for you to do.

He is good looking isn't he? The feathers in particular are coming along nicely:)
