Coneflower progress

Still working on coneflowers.  Took a quick photo before leaving the studio to go to work, so I apologize for how bad it is.

I had a wonderful birthday with my DH.  We went out for dinner and it was delicious.  Outside of the window we sat by was a pond with nesting Canadian Geese.  They were all out with their broods basking in the sun and walking the shoreline.  We had delicious bruschetta followed by an Arugula Salad.   The entree was a delicious Walleye on a bed of wild rice.   I was so full I could not have any cake but Bob had them wrap up a double chocolate cake with pistachios for me to eat later.  Such a nice birthday evening.  I had no trouble eating that slice of cake either.  Mmmmmmm!

Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a wonderful evening. Really love the colors in your new piece, now i want to make something with purples.

Happy birthday, Barbara!

Love the coneflowers piece. Your color choices are unique for that flower (at least I think so!), I really like the mood it evokes.

It just keeps getting better and better!
Walleye! Yum. There are several of us out here in Las Vegas from MN and we're always looking for good Walleye. We found one spot that was also a brewery and their's was okay but a few of us got sucked in by the description of the almond breading which was a big mistake. Next we went to the El Cortez down on Fremont street and it was to die for. Now we've learned that Sun City McDonald Ranch serves it in their restaurant so that's next when we can all agree on a date. Kind of a fun quest!
