Fish Fish & More Fish

I worked on more fish yesterday.  Took my most of the afternoon to make two of them and the background of several schooling fish.
I hope to put more on the schooling fish today but there are household chores to do first.

I loved how this one turned out.   I always think that if they look good prior to quilting they will look fabulous after.  I used colored pencils for the line details in his body and did the same for the white one above.
I will quilt over those lines with the same colored thread.

I pinned the schooling fish on the piece just to see if I have enough.
They may not end up in these positions but it will be close.

When I scrolled down the page to your first fish, I thought it was real! They are very lifelike.

OMG! I thought I was looking at a photograph! Then I noticed the background - your fabric! Amazing!

Love the fish and love the background fabric.

This is a fantastic interpretation of the ocean and its tropical fish. The realism of the fish invites me to remember everything I know about them. Your design offers a feeling of gentle, quiet peace in a world that is almost alien to us.

Thank you John for visiting and your gracious comment. Coming from someone with your expertise is an honor for me. I have been enjoying your poetry and photography for a while now and you also take your reader to that place of gentle peacefulness.

Love how it is coming out and the way they look against the background.
