Canadians & Mallards

Yesterday I went to the river to try to get some photos of the Canadian Geese down there for the next quilt in my series.  They were all on the opposite shore from me.

The goslings are growing up way to fast and I really wanted to get a photo of them but they were too far away for my camera.

Two Mallards popped out of the weeds.  It was so sunny their green heads almost glowed.
I think I will give it another try tomorrow.

Darn the little dickens! They just won't pose. Don't they know who they're dealing with? That you will make them look even better than they really do?

The other day I wish that my camera had been at hand when we saw parent Canada Geese and their 3 goslings walking down the side of the road from one pond to the next. I'm guessing the babies couldn't fly.

I always have a hard time getting clear shots with my zoom. I finally found the cord to my other camera, so now i need to clean them both and i can use my old one for macro and action shots, hopefully it still works.
