Book Review

I have finished the book "Room".  I know there has  been some reluctance for some to read it and also some puzzlement on why I chose to read it.  Here are my reasons why I enjoyed this book:

1.  It is different and a story line I have never encountered.

2.  It is written through the eyes of the five year old boy.  It makes you see how he views what has happened to him and his mother since he has been born into this situation.

3.  You are given plenty of food for thought about the world we all take for granted, both good and bad.

4.  You see how strong the mother is dealing with what has happened to her but turning it into the best possible world for her son as well as protecting him at all times.

I enjoyed it and did not have a problem with the ending either, which some who read it did.

It may not be a book for everyone but I am glad I read it.

You have me intriqued now, so I requested it at the library. It seems they have a lot of holds on it, so it must be a good read.

Barb, Love your furniture, but that book does not sound like one I want to read. Thanks for the info on it though. Hugs

Glad that you finished it. I think stories like that, that you can get something out of, are important. Sort of like making a small deposit in a bank account on a regular basis. You can draw on it later when you might need it.

Thanks for the info on the book. It is now intriguing me more than before and I'm pretty sure I'll be adding it to my reading library in the future.
