Holidays, Quilting and Watson

I can not believe it has been over a week since my last post.  I guess Thanksgiving preparations took their tole on my time.
The family came and we celebrated with a huge turkey and lots of laughter.  My Grandson, Max waited patiently until we finished and he could blow out the candles on the dining room table.

That night it was rainy and cold.  This is a locust tree on the side of our deck in the backyard.  It was wet and had these orange cracks in the bark that looked so odd in the dark of the night.

Tomorrow we go to pick up our new kitten who we have named "Watson".  It has been a long
wait since we lost our Winston, but tomorrow will bring us new joy of having a kitten in our home again.

That tree reminds me of a book series I was reading, inside was a creature that was trapped by the wood elf, lol.

I can't wait to see pictures of your new kitty and congratulations:)

Max is a little doll. I agree on the tree - you could make a great story out of that one.

Personally, I think time speeds up during the period of thanksgiving to christmas. It is greatly accelerated.
