Pods Revisted and Max Visited

Publish Post

Max at 1 1/2 years old enjoying Grandma's antique childs rocker and wearing Grandpa's
Mustang t-shirt he had to get for him!

Whew! What a weekend. Sunday I spent the morning trying the suggestion from Wanda about using a fabric permanent marker and coloring over the threads on the pods only. Wow! What a success that was! Made a huge difference so thank you so much Wanda.
Then I had to quit and get to painting the inside door jams of our new patio door that we got last fall but it was too cold to paint the inside of the door back then.
That job was horrible. I painted from 1:30 until 7:30 pm. It was the worst job going around hardware and sealing rubber and squeezing in between things. I was in no mood when I got finished and my husband knew to stay clear of me.

The next morning he took me for a drive in the convertible to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch down in Milwaukee. It was gorgeous weather and it was just what I needed.

Jon, Becky and Max came for supper and stayed overnite. He is out getting fitted for a tux this morning and I am at work. Bob is at home because we are having a new furnace installed today too. Hopefully I will get home before they all leave to go back home.

Then it is back to saving "My Pods".

I'm glad that worked. I have done it several times on small pieces.

Little Max is adorable!

And lunch at The Cheesecake factory sounds like a great reward after a tedious painting chore of the door jams.

I find that very very rarely is a quilting mistake beyond the point of some kind of rescue. I have one quilt top that I had given up on a couple years back, and just the other day I was thinking there is probably a solution to fix it somehow that hadn't dawned on me at the time.

Never get discouraged! Creative people are problem solvers by nature, and there is usually a way to work it out.

Max is one cute cutie-pie! Love those plaid shorts on him.

Can't wait to see the results of the pod-save.

And great new photo of you, too! Looks summer-y.
