While Quilting "Urban Sprawl" I put together the third quilt in my tree series. I call this one "Butterflies Are Free" after a movie that probably not all of you are old enough to remember.
It is done in purples. For some reason unknown to me I seem to be in a purple phase. I went shopping for a few items to fill my summer wardrobe and ended up coming home with
several purple things. Then as I began this quilt using some butterflies I have had for at least 10 years, it evolved into a purple quilt. I better not get a paint brush in my hands!!!!

This is truly wonderful! And I remember the movie - with Goldie Hawn - guess that tells you how old I am, huh? Purple is one of my favorite colors too. But this quilt is really inspired!
