Photography help

As you can see by these two photos the quilt does not line up square.

They are square and one is on the floor while the other is on my design wall.

So what am I doing wrong?  Do I tip the camera or what?  

Help would be appreciated. 

Bare Needle Quilting?

Recently when reading about a quilter it was mentioned that she likes to "bare needle stitch" her borders.

I googled that and found very little.  I think it is when you do not use a foot on your machine.

Am I right?  What is the advantage or result you get from this?
