Horse no. 1 continued to "grow". I knew the harness would cover a lot of her so did not do a lot of detail on her coat. Concentrated on her expression instead.
Then I began the harness.....with all of its buckles and hooks and rings it too two days.
It was well worth it in the end.
And now work begins on Horse No. 2. He is bigger and his harness is even more detailed. It will be easier now though since I had a lot of practice and trial and error on the first one. I am happy with this piece so far.

Wow! Looking great! I love how to take time to share your process of each piece you make. Not that I will ever tackle anything like this (I always rely on patterns!), but I love seeing your pieces come to life!
That is a fine looking piece of art you are creating. Is it a commission piece?
The work you have done is amazing and smart choice to keep the horse simpler. The detail in the fabric shades is just the right touch.
