Hope you enjoyed the journey I took when creating this piece. I love the old fashioned small farm and farmers. I feel it is going to soon disappear from our landscape so I hope to immortalize my memories in these farm scene quilts that I so enjoy making. My cousins had an uncle who lived on a farm and I was lucky as a young girl to go out there and spend time. I personally love horses so loved working on them and having them added into this textile art piece. The farm had two work horses whose names I have forgotten but I like to think they could have been Buck and Jack. I have since had a great fondness for the working horse whether it be just the old farm horse or the beautiful Belgians and Clydesdales.
NOTE: This fiber art piece has SOLD and is going to a private collector in Canada.

This is gorgeous! I love the colors and the composition so much. Another masterpiece.
Fabulous!!!
Have you sold that yet? If not, I seriously want it.
Wait, I just bought it. :)
Truly an amazing quilt, Barb. I am going to surprise Gordon with it!
It's WONDERFUL! The colors are so rich and vibrant...you just keep getting better and better at this.
Brilliant! I'm so happy for Knatolee! It was so fun and a learning experience to follow along from the beginning! I think it would have won many awards had it been submitted.
I love how the stitching transformed it and the fabrics you use to get just the right look. Someone is going to be very happy with his surprise present.

I really enjoy your step by step additions to your pieces. It is like thinking backwards to get the ground work in place before the details can be added.
This one turned out so well! Your pieces always have a fabulously graphic feel to them too. Very nice!
Wonderful ! Sad to see so many farms gone over the years. Love this quilt!
Lovely! boy, I did not see that original fabric piece taking such a journey to this very sweet picture. It's full of interest! Hope Buck and Jack enjoy the new adventure :-)
It's kind of nice that the quilt is coming to a 100+ year-old farm that is still a going concern, eh? :)
