Spent this morning cleaning up my quilt since I have finished quilting it.
Now I am waiting to hear if it will be accepted into "Quilt Expo" which is on the weekend of Sept. 9th in Madison Wisconsin. The pictures were due about a week ago and I did not have it perfectly cleaned up yet. I made sure the one closeup shot was in a good area by the goose since that was totally clean.
By clean I mean any hanging threads or raveling that was more then what I wanted.
I have quilted out into the outside border with some of the inside quilting on the right side.
I kept most of my quilting "earthy" as I wanted this quilt to be textural and natural in appearance.
I wanted some of the fabric to unravel at the edges.
It definitely has the earthy feel I was going for.
See those little threads that need plucking!

The ear of corn turned out great! Good luck on being accepted.
Earthy is a good descriptive word! Good Luck!
Love the detail shots! The quilting adds so much to this wonderful quilt. Love that goose!! Fingers crossed on getting accepted!!
How can it not be accepted? It's so perfect (and earthy). The quilting is extrordinary and fits so well with the theme of the quilt.

It looks great, I agree that the quilting really adds to the overall design. Good luck with the jurors--
fingers crossed for you! It looks amazing!
It looks really organic; very natural. I hope it gets accepted (it should!!!).
I have my fingers crossed. I was right on the wire and my old (got a new one since) camera was acting wierd, so my photos were poor quality.
Not to make excuses, but I am concerned about them. So we will see.
Barb, I got a new tower for my computer and my adapter for internet didn't work with it. So I called and ordered a new one which came yesterday, and then I called again to get help to install it. Don't ever change your computer.
Anyway, if I were the judge of Quilt Expo, you would win hands down, no question, not even a little one. I think that your quilt is fantastic. Hugs, Cameron
